FAQ
Do you shoot weddings?
Unfortunately, I am not a wedding photographer. I can suggest a number of excellent photographers for your special day.
Do you work alone?
I may work with an assistant or secondary shooter if required. Sometimes a second opinion or creative view can steer us in some really great directions for the final product.
Can I extend the session on the day of?
We can extend the day if my schedule allows, however, this would incur an extra fixed cost. I do love being creative though, and spur of the moment changes and unplanned moments can often yield the best results.
What kind of gear do you use?
Current equipment
Camera body - Sony A7R III
A 42mp powerhouse with stunning image quality and resolution that allows billboard sized prints without loss of image quality.
Lenses (currently only two due to recently switching camera manufacturer, however, they are both my go-to focal lengths for every shoot.)
Sigma 35mm f1.4 Art
In my opinion a fundamental lens for any serious photographer. The classic focal length that is so versatile for any situation. Being part of Sigma's Art line, buttery smooth bokeh is guaranteed!
Samyang 85mm f1.4
The classic "portrait" lens. Samyang's offering in the 85mm market gives tack sharp images for portraits, however, it's my go-to for automotive and product shoots, perfect for isolating the subject from the background by giving beautiful bokeh and compression.
DJI Mavic Air 2
I capture all of my aerial images with this drone's 48mp camera in stunning detail. Paired with 4k footage with a selection of frame rates, this really upped my game and gave a new dimension to my work.
How are prices/quotes determined?
As with all trades/industries, costs are broken down into several factors.
The time spent shooting (this can be hourly for small sessions or a day rate for longer sessions).
Travel expenses.
Proofing and editing, this is the behind the scenes part which takes the longest. One photo can potentially take between 25-60 minutes to edit and refine. if you are looking for 15-20 images, that's potentially 15-20 hours work after the time I've spent with you.
